About Bascomb Preschool

Our Mission

Our commitment is to promote the educational and spiritual development of young children in a Christian environment.

History

Bascomb United Methodist Preschool, also known as BUMP, was started as a mother’s morning out program with just a few classes in 1986. Over the years it has grown into a preschool which now serves 75-100 families. Many of our former students are now bringing their own children to our school.

What We Stand For

Bascomb Preschool is a Christian school that teaches its students to love God and to be respectful and loving toward one another. Each week, our boys and girls attend chapel, where they learn a Bible verse along with a story from the Bible.

BUMP also has many fun traditions, including our trick-or-treat event, Thanksgiving feast, and Christmas pageant. Each year, we celebrate American culture with events that teach our children about our country and heritage. The entire school comes together for a shared Thanksgiving feast, where the children bring vegetables to add to our soup, and families join us to celebrate the holiday. All of the children participate in our Christmas pageant as we rejoice in the birth of Christ. We also hunt for Easter eggs in the spring, celebrate mothers and fathers, and end the year with a special graduation ceremony to say goodbye to our graduates.
